Scottsdale Specifics

Why Scottsdale Homeowners Hire Us for Countertops

Scottsdale countertop work runs high-end. McCormick Ranch mid-century kitchens get full tear-out remodels with quartz waterfalls. McDowell Mountain Ranch and Grayhawk family homes want white quartz with grey veining. DC Ranch and Silverleaf custom builds want exotic — leathered quartzite, book-matched marble, large-format Dekton on 14-foot islands. We come from Surprise, 35–45 minutes via the 101, and that's the trade-off we name upfront. We're not five minutes away; we're competitive on price and on coordination because we self-perform the counter, the cabinet interface, and the tile backsplash.

McCormick Ranch mid-century waterfalls

McCormick Ranch's 1970s ranches get full kitchen modernizations. Counter typically waterfalls a 10–14 ft island in white-veined quartz (Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo, Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo, Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold) with mitered edges. $7,500–$14,000 counter scope alone.

DC Ranch & Silverleaf exotic slabs

DC Ranch and Silverleaf projects request leathered quartzite (Taj Mahal, Sea Pearl, Mont Blanc, Cristallo), book-matched marble (Calacatta Borghini, Statuario), or large-format porcelain (Neolith, Dekton, Laminam). Slab visits to Arizona Tile and MSI happen with the homeowner; we mark slabs, document layout, and quote in writing.

Old Town & Arcadia compact custom

Smaller Arcadia and Old Town condo kitchens want compact, dramatic counters in slabs that hide the seam — we cut from a single slab when possible, miter when not, and finish edges to match the bath vanity for design coherence.

Common Questions

Scottsdale Countertop FAQs

Why hire a Surprise contractor for Scottsdale counters?
Two reasons: pricing and self-performance. Scottsdale-based contractors price in their Scottsdale overhead. We don't, and we still bring the same quality and slab-yard relationships. On scope coordination — we self-perform countertop fabrication, cabinet install, and the cabinet-to-counter interface; you don't pay 3 separate trades to coordinate themselves.
Do you slab-select at the Scottsdale yards?
Yes. We meet you at Arizona Tile (Scottsdale yard, Tempe yard, or Phoenix), MSI Surfaces, Cosentino City Phoenix, or Sun Stone — wherever your selection is — and mark the specific slab(s) for your project. We document with photos and yard tags.
Can you handle Old Town historic district approvals?
Old Town Scottsdale and parts of Arcadia have historic / overlay-district review. We provide documentation to City of Scottsdale historic preservation in their required format. Lead time 3–6 weeks for review.
How do you price exotic slabs (Cristallo, Calacatta Borghini)?
Exotic and ultra-premium slabs are quoted by the slab, not by the square foot. We price the slab(s) at supplier cost + flat fabrication fee + install. Transparent line-item pricing — no markup percentage games.
Mitered edges on a Calacatta marble waterfall?
Yes. Mitered-edge waterfalls in marble require precise fabrication — the diagonal cut shows the slab's full thickness profile. We do this routinely. Lead time 10–14 days fabrication, vs 7–10 for standard counter.
Large-format Dekton or Neolith — single-slab kitchens?
Yes. We've installed full Dekton and Neolith kitchens with single-piece islands up to 12 ft. These large-format porcelain slabs require two-person delivery, A-frame transport, and careful cutout work; we have the equipment.
