What's the best natural stone for Arizona floors?
Travertine for indoor/outdoor continuity, slate for textured non-slip surfaces (great around pools), and honed marble for primary entries and bathrooms. Polished marble is gorgeous but slick when wet — we recommend honed for floors. Limestone works for low-traffic accent areas.
How much does natural stone flooring cost in Phoenix?
$14–$28/sq ft installed depending on stone type, finish, and prep. Travertine: $14–$18/sq ft. Slate: $15–$20/sq ft. Honed marble: $20–$28/sq ft. Premium quartzite or onyx: $30+/sq ft. Includes sealer and standard prep.
Does natural stone need sealing in Arizona?
Yes — annually for travertine and limestone, every 2–3 years for slate and marble. We apply a premium impregnating sealer at install (included), and offer a yearly maintenance plan if you'd rather not DIY. Skipping sealer leads to staining from oil, wine, and pool chemicals.
Can natural stone go indoor + outdoor for continuity?
Yes — travertine and slate are the AZ standards for indoor/outdoor flow. Same stone runs from your living room out to the patio with the threshold disappearing. Outdoor pieces use a tumbled or split-face finish for slip-resistance and UV stability.
Do you carry natural stone slabs in stock?
Yes — wide stone selection at our partner yards (Arizona Tile, MSI), with our shop at 15464 W Aster Dr, including travertine, marble, slate, limestone, granite, and quartzite. Walk the partner yard, mark the exact piece, then we fabricate and install. No catalog roulette.
