What's the difference between cabinetry and millwork?
Cabinetry is boxes with doors — kitchen cabinets, vanities, storage. Millwork is everything else made from wood as a finish element: trim, baseboard, crown molding, wainscoting, built-in shelves, mantels, coffered ceilings, columns, paneled walls. We do both, often on the same project.
Do you do commercial millwork in Arizona?
Yes. Office reception desks and built-ins, restaurant front-of-house casework, retail fixtures, hospitality wall paneling, medical/dental room cabinetry, multi-family unit packages. AZ ROC #341113. We work to architectural drawings or design-build from a plan set.
How much does custom millwork cost?
Highly variable. A simple painted shelf wall might run $1,500–$3,500; a full library-style built-in with cabinets and a ladder $8,000–$25,000; a coffered ceiling $40–$80 per sq ft; commercial reception desks $5,000–$20,000+. Fixed written quote after we see drawings or measure.
Painted vs. stained finishes?
Both. Painted millwork (white shaker, greige, navy) is popular in Phoenix metro residential right now. Stained — walnut, white oak, rift cut — is dominant in higher-end and commercial. We finish in our shop spray booth so the result is consistent and dust-free.
